They are the Foods of the Gods, said in the legends all over the world to have been brought by the Gods themselves. They are indeed the divine ambrosia, amazing to your health and well-being. We love them and love them so much we want to share them with whoever resonates with them. We love to look for the really good products out there, raw, organic, conscious and we are happy to share the wonderful foods and superfoods we have found so far. We love that these foods can contribute for a part to guiding us towards more compassion, love and understanding.
We are extremely careful who we are dealing with, even more so than what type of product we are dealing with. Whenever possible, we try to find and get in touch with very small- scale producers, not necessarily indigenous, but who are concerned about the impact of the growing on the environment and who cultivate and process their products as a passion. We strive to offer products at fair prices for both customers and producers. All the products are raw, vegan, animal-friendly (nothing tested on animals), except the Gold Ash powder that has some honey used in its making. Part of the profits made with the products are donated to organizations that protect the rights and welfare of animals.

Back in the 1930s, when biochemists were discovering the last batch of vitamins and minerals, like vitamin K and vitamin B6, researchers were also learning that proteins act as catalysts for all chemical reactions in the body. They called these proteins enzymes. Scientists initially identified eighty enzymes eighty years ago; today more than 5,000 enzymes have been discovered. Enzymes are delicate dynamos. Dynamos because these powerful biochemical catalysts are necessary for digestion, breathing, talking, moving, cellular energy, tissue and organ repair, neutralization of toxins, and brain activity. Enzymes do their work by reducing the energy required for the individual reactions to take place. In other words, enzymes make it easier for two proteins to react together. Your central nervous system is busy processing information while your digestive system is processing your last meal. Your immune system is handling the many germs and particles that have entered your body, your heart is beating, and life-giving cells are being made and replaced as other internal systems carry out a multitude of other intricate processes. All of these functions involve thousands of different enzymes. These enzymes not only initiate chemical processes in the body by removing parts, adding parts, or just snipping off a piece to change their makeup, but they do so quickly and efficiently. Without enzymes, life would slow to a standstill because chemical reactions inside our bodies wouldn’t happen fast enough.
 Therefore, eating an enzyme-deactivated diet, comprised primarily of  food heated at a wet-heat temperature as low as 118 degrees Fahrenheit and a dry-heat temperature as low as 150 degrees, use up a tremendous amount of enzyme potential in the outpouring of secretions from the pancreas and other digestive organs, putting a severe strain on the body, drawing down its reserves, which results in a shortened life span, illness, and lowered resistance to stress of all types, as proved by numerous post-mortem examinations. Dr Howell tells us that the length of life is actually  inversely proportional to the rate of exhaustion of the enzyme potential of an organism.
According to Sally Fallon, that foods and liquids at 117 degrees can be touched without burning yourself, but liquids over 118 degrees will burn you, could even mean a built-in mechanism is there to tell you if the food you are eating still contains its enzyme content. 

It is our experience as well from living on raw foods that stamina, well-being and energy are vastly increased, as well as happiness and productivity.

Some products we have decided not to sell, such as the most concentrated ones, for example essential oils, as some research indicates that it interferes with the immune system in a wrong way, as is usually the case with foods straying too far from their natural state through heavy processing. According to Paul Bergner, director of the clinical studies program at the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical studies, the scent of an essential oil can kill gut flora just like antibiotics do. Breathing the oils puts them into the blood stream very quickly and can be a major disturber of intestinal health and contribute to poor immune functioning, as Susun Weed also tells us. Massage therapists more and more are embracing Natural scent therapy, such as growing live aromatic plants in their treatment rooms and using pillows of dried aromatic herbs instead of essential oils.
So called "raw" agave syrup is one of these as well. After enquiring for a long time, we have not been able to find any really raw agave product. Agave syrup is "low glycemic" because it has an extremely high content in fructose, nearly as high as high-fructose corn syrup. unfortunately high fructose interferes with copper metabolism and destroys connective tissues and leads to a whole range of health problems, even, after a while, contributing to diabetes rather than helping it, as it is claimed to be, says John Kohler. We ourselves have never found a "raw agave syrup" that would not give us tooth problems, an indication for us that these products are not raw nor healthy. As fructose has to be metabolized by the liver instead of, for example glucose, which is metabolized by every cell and also contains no enzymes, vitamins or minerals, we think it is best to avoid agave syrup altogether.

We have found at long last a really raw coconut oil! In the usual processing of the coconut oil, even when it is said to be raw, the cold-pressed oil is almost always heated afterwards in the end-production to remove the remaining humidity, sometimes at quite high temperatures and for too long a time. With AmazingFoods' wonderful oil no heat is ever used to lower its moisture content!
